RESEARCH STUDENTS WIN NATIONAL AWARD

“Congratulations to two of our P2 students who were awarded Undergraduate Diversity Initiatives National level travel awards from the international professional organization ‘Society of Toxicology’ this year. They attended the national meeting held at the Baltimore Convention Center, MD in March 11- Both were chosen from a total of 36 winners nationally by the Society of Toxicology.

Kalee and Kelvin also co-authored a poster titled “Dietary Exposure to an Admixture of Polyphenolics Significantly Reduces Dimethylnitrosamine (DMN)-Induced Carcinogenic Changes in Mouse Lungs” which received great attention at the meeting. Both did their research in my laboratory.

Congratulations to Sipan Keshishyan, class of 2017, won the college-wide ‘Excellence in Research Award’ from MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, NATURAL & HEALTH SCIENCES, May 12, 2017. He was recognized at the 2017 graduating class hooding ceremony at the Mirro Center, May 2017.
